Our first housing project, Destiny Village, has been developed in Pasadena, Texas with WOMAN, Inc. acting as developer and lender.
Funds were secured for the project through federal grants, private foundations, and low-interest loans. The property must be maintained as an affordable housing project (rent restricted) for a total of thirty years.
Destiny Village officially opened in January of 1998. This facility has housed and served women and children through the provision of supportive services including, case management counseling, child care assistance, rental assistance, job skills’ improvement, and advocacy.
